Federal Minister for Petroleum Visits PSO Head Office Pakistan State Oil had the honor of hosting Mr. Ali Pervaiz Malik, Federal Minister for Petroleum, at PSO House, Karachi. The Minister was accompanied by Mr. Hamed Yaqoob Sheikh, Secretary Petroleum, and Mr. Zafar Abbas, Additional Secretary (Policy). The delegation was received by PSO CEO Mr. Jawwad Ahmed Cheema and the executive leadership team. Discussions centered on national energy security, supply chain resilience, strategic storage expansion, and digital transformation. The Minister commended PSO for ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply and reaffirmed the Government’s support for sector modernization and infrastructure development. 50 Years of Trust. 50 Years of Friendship. 50 Years of Partnership. Half a century ago, PSO and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation signed a supply arrangement. What Pakistan got was something far more durable: a partner that has helped power this country ever since. This week, we came together to honour that. For 50 years, KPC's Gasoil and Jet Fuel have moved through our terminals, our depots and our network — through booms, through crises, through every repricing of the energy world. The relationship has been tested by exactly the conditions that break lesser arrangements, and it has come through each one stronger. That is the measure of a real partnership: not what it delivers in easy years, but that it holds when it matters most. This one has, every time. We record our sincere appreciation to the Government of Pakistan, its leadership and the Petroleum Division, whose stewardship of the energy sector makes partnerships of this kind possible — and whose support underpins both Pakistan's energy security and our enduring ties with Kuwait. Fifty years is a foundation, not a finish line. We are now working with KPC on the next chapter: expanding cooperation into Motor Gasoline, LPG and new products; joint ventures in refining, storage and infrastructure; shipping and logistics alliances; and deeper collaboration on the energy priorities our two countries share. Each of these builds on what five decades have already proven — that when Pakistan and Kuwait work together, energy moves.
