I’m over the rancid bigotry constantly spewed toward the Gulf Arabs.
There is no such thing as “undeserved” natural resources. What an unintelligent thing to say. If there is ever going to be a criteria for who “deserves” their resources, it should be how they use them.
While countries across the world use their resources to line the pockets of the ultrawealthy as their middle and lower classes fall closer to poverty, the Gulf states used their energy revenue to secure a dignified life for their people: free, world-class healthcare; rapid development of education with equitable access; investment in public safety, infrastructure, paths to socioeconomic development.
All achieved against insurmountable odds and in record time. The reason you don’t hear much about other countries resources, which they’ve had access to for hundreds of years, is because they never translate or materialize into tangible benefits for their people. It doesn’t mean those resources don’t exist.
Get a grip.
