So thank you, Connecticut Sun, for 24 years of memories, moments and people who became part of our lives.
You will always be special. You will always be part of our story.
And maybe someday, from the ashes, the Sun will rise again.
And because of the fans, the Sun will never really be gone.
The memories remain. The friendships remain. The relationships between players, coaches, staff and fans remain.
Those are ours. No move can take them away.
The Sun was always about basketball, but it became something much bigger. It became a marker of time — a collection of moments that reminds us of who we were, who we were with, and how much life happened along the way. The season gave us time to grieve, celebrate and cherish.
Last night was hard.
Not just because it was the final game, but because for so many of us, the Sun has been part of our lives for 24 years.
We watched our children grow up. Families changed.
Friendships became lifelong. And some people we shared this with are no longer here.
One last night of Sunshine. High Fives for all. A packed Arena, rooting
the Home Team on to a Dub. It was electric and exemplified SUN basketball. 🧡🌞🏀🔥
