Athena’s owlet is back in the wild after being released at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center following several months of rehabilitation with Austin Wildlife Rescue.

Applications are now open for Austin’s Living Streets Program! 🚸
Living Streets gives residents a way to create more space on eligible neighborhood streets for walking, biking, rolling, playing, and gathering with neighbors.

Applications for this fall are open through October 6, and the program takes new applications every quarter.

This morning, I joined the Austin Firefighters Association, the @austinfiredept, first responders, families, and community members at Buford Tower to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor those who later lost their lives as a result of their service.
