Now, you are in a PR nightmare used by some to push all the negative stereotypes you fought hard to footballwash.

The conundrum: Punish Man City & Protect the PL.
◽️No PL club is winning the titles City cheated to win. This opens a can of worms with legal consequences (if you push one team up, what happens to relegated teams?)
◽️City will not be relegated to the Championship as like it or not, the PL needs City with Haaland, Cherki, etc to keep the high TV rights and remain competitive in the face of strong LaLiga competition.

State-owned clubs come with political interference. Saudi government did when buying Newcastle and the UAE have been doing the same for years, so this is not over yet.
To City this an insult to the UAE’s ruling family. It’s personal to them so pressure will be exerted through their “consulting firms” on politicians to make this get away.

Just saw this. A truly disappointing decision.
Doesn’t make sense at any level whether coaching (he’s unproven beginner), PR (hiring convicted abuser) or more importantly principles wise (there have to be redlines).
Boateng is a horrible abuser and not a role model for players.
Arsenal and Arteta terribly failed with Partey, MU under public pressure did the right thing and sold Greenwood only for Getafe, Marseille and now Fenerbahce embarrass themselves.

Liverpool in January and July need to focus on …
➡️Midfield. From Maca, Graven to Wirtz, time for a radical change with big decisions. There are issues of fit to Iraola system, complementarity to current squad, impact on the pitch, age and money. The good news sale of these players can finance a total revamp. Maca should not be extended and a July sale makes sense, let’s say Graven’s contract extension was to protect his value, and Wirtz to Bayern will be best for everyone.
➡️Right side. From RB to RW there is a serious conversation about profiles and quality here. It’s strange how Liverpool allowed their right side become a place for experimentation and temporary arrangements. Frimpong is not at the level of Liverpool or even the PL, Bradley will need time and to be managed very carefully, and as a whole and there is no clear RW with it being a slot to play whoever is not playing on the LW.

No. Liverpool should sell in July next year.
Maca will turn 28 in December and his contract expires in 6/2028 so it’s either extend or sell in July.

Salah vs Haji. A strange and illogical debate started by Galatasaray social and mainstream media. At first they compared Salah to 4 different retired players, but like any lobby they organized and consolidated behind one name: Haji.
Salah doesn’t play for “their” club and they can’t accept the best player to ever play in the Turkish league is not “their” player. Trabzonspor having Salah being the club with the best player in the history of the league is adding insult to injury.
By the way, Haji was an excellent player with impressive success in Romania and Turkey. He wasn’t a nobody or an average player, he deserves respect. His international reputation mostly revolved around his success at the Romania National Team not Big 5 European Leagues.
Haji struggled at the top level in Europe. At Barcelona (2 years) or Real Madrid (2 years) he never won the equivalent in the 90s of Player Of The Season and in many cases was not even a starter. When sold to Brescia in Serie A, his team was relegated to Serie B with him continuing to play in Serie B.
Sadly as we react to this strange Salah vs Haji comparison the Galatasaray lobby is succeeding as we are making the debate bigger and it becomes a “thing”. They know that and they will keep pushing it.

Just imagine if Salah joined Galatasaray or Fenerbahce instead of Trabzonspor. The Istanbul media would’ve called him better than Messi 😂 It is clear to me now Istanbul media care only about Istanbul clubs. They are biased and comfortable in trolling Trabzonspor fans for cheap attention.
Emre Ozcan will hide behind club trophies (City, Bayern and Galatasaray) to defend his Leroy Sane opinion (never won the UEFA Champions League by the way), but using the same simplistic club trophies argument Sane has better career than Kane, Mbappe, etc. but Ozcan will never say that as his goal is to troll and get attention.
Now, comparison between Salah (voted 4th best player in Liverpool’s history) and Sane on the individual level is nonexistent as Sane literally won nothing significant on the individual level and was always a part of, not leading teams to success.
