This is a good explanation of how the TV pool works from former WHCA President Weijia Jiang. The White House press pool is more complex than meets the eye, especially the TV pool.
These three things can all be true at once:
1. We do need the TV pool to for the entire press pool to run smoothly.
2. CNN and MSNOW have an aggressively negative bias towards the Trump White House that they did not show towards the Biden WH or the Obama WH.
3. Fairer coverage from these networks (and I mean coverage that is less biased, not fluff coverage) would benefit the entire country AND the White House press pool. Left-leaning TV networks should stop pretending that they have zero bias.

The Secretary is absolutely right. I saw this firsthand during my many weeks of fieldwork in Tibet.
Women and children routinely cooked indoors by burning yak dung, and I remember seeing dark soot around their noses and mouths. This isn’t an abstract policy debate... it’s what energy poverty looks like.
Providing families with modern cooking fuels like propane could dramatically reduce their exposure to indoor air pollution and free women from spending hours tending smoky fires.
Energy access is human progress. We should be very careful about climate policies that make modern, cleaner energy harder or more expensive for the world’s poorest communities.
Clean cooking fuel is not just a public health issue—it's today's greatest barrier to women's liberation.
Over a billion women spend hours a day tending fires, subjected to indoor air pollution because of a lack of modern energy technology. Increased energy access does more than power nations—it can transform the living conditions of humanity.

I've got a writer, Stephanie Lundquist-Arora, for Features who FOIA's the living daylights out of Fairfax County Public Schools––all for public benefit. She has uncovered some REAL sus behavior, and FCPS upcharges, upcharges, upcharges.
