It's even weirder than that. Some people construct whole business models based on faulty information. It's insidious.
Kind of a weird by-product of this access-to-information era is that people can construct completely independent realities based on what information they decide to consume and which bubbles they get trapped in. It was always hard enough to change minds when everybody was working from an agreed-upon set of facts. It's a total lost cause now when even the facts are in constant dispute.

Wait. You're saying a longtime member of an institution - one with a storied career, unimpeachable credentials, and unrivaled contributions to that institution - somehow gets snubbed for inclusion by the deciding body? That sort of thing isn't supposed to happen to journalists.
That Rick Gosselin, the most conscientious and well-researched member of the @ProFootballHOF selection committee I saw in my 32 years as a voter, has been removed from the voting group gives me doubts about the future of the Hall. It’s outrageous.

It's uncanny, Stewie's ability to never foul anyone ever. Almost unbelievable.

Snub Bill, blame the process, institute a probably equally faulty process. Got it.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame is making dramatic changes to its selection process to help the most deserving candidates get in each year. Full story: espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/4982… espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/4982…

Cathy Engelbert on retiring at the end of 2026, per @howardmegdal: "I had only intended to do this job for three-and-a-half years ... [It] was always my goal to retire at 62, and I just feel like we're in a really good place from a variety of perspectives on the league."

That Michael Wilson deal is great and all, but does anybody know who negotiated it, and for what agency? Feel like I'm in the dark here on the important stuff.

You'd think opposing kickers would take personally the suggestion they could be tripped up by what's displaying behind the uprights. That's pretty insulting.

Where'd they put the dildo exhibit?
The Buffalo Bills having a 20 foot tall broken folding table built into their new stadium may be one of the coolest details ever

Thank God. I was getting worried for the Hunts.

“It honors the rich legacy of this franchise while setting a bold course for the future of Chiefs Kingdom,” said Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt. The team is working with MANICA and HNTB on the project.

Amazing how you knights of the keyboard think there's some deal, some strategy, some angle that Stevens hadn't already explored and dispatched with. The market you imagine never existed.

"Things went left." Never, at all costs, let anything Jaylen Brown-related go left.
Jaylen Brown speaks on trade to the Sixers "The message was received. I wasn't thrilled with the amount of respect that was shown during this process. I think it was fine at one point, and then, out of nowhere, things just kind of went left. I think Brad is probably getting a lot of the criticism, but I definitely think there is more to it... I thought I had earned enough respect to get an explanation, but hey, obviously I was wrong. But that's life." FCHWPO - Twitch

Fans are pissed they took an OT? What are they watching? It's the scarcest position in the NFL. Great OTs are retained, good OTs get overpaid in FA, and teams routinely make do with older OTs they hope stay healthy or converted OGs. Drafting's the best way to find your tackle.

😂😂 To suggest Andy Hart's getting a little too close to the truth, you clearly aren't familiar with his work.
Holy Crap. 🚨 A week after Scott Zolak insinuates he'd lose his job if he talked about the Mike Vrabel case on air, two people who did may have just lose their jobs. It's unclear if this is related, but it doesn't look good.
