The leader of our European party and President of Vox 🇪🇸 @Santi_Abascal was attacked on Friday in Tarragona whilst on his tour of Catalonia by a far-left activist with links to the terrorist organisation ETA. What happened to Santiago Abascal is unacceptable. There is no place for violence in politics. Any violent attack against any politician must be condemned. The fact that the left remains silent about such incidents when it suits its interests, while constantly labelling the conservative right, is astonishing. It clearly exposes the hypocrisy of the left. At the same time, this reinforces our strength and our determination to wage the fight for democracy and the preservation of our identity and values across Europe.

En rejetant par référendum la reprise des négociations d’adhésion à l’Union européenne, le peuple islandais a rappelé une évidence : l’adhésion à l’Union européenne n’est pas l’horizon naturel de toute démocratie européenne. Ce vote délivre un message limpide : les peuples doivent pouvoir décider eux-mêmes de leur avenir, de leurs institutions et de leur capacité à défendre leurs intérêts nationaux. Au moment où certains poussent pour davantage de fédéralisme et de transfert de souveraineté à la commission européenne, ce vote rappelle qu’ une autre Europe est possible, une Europe des nations libres, souveraines et coopérant volontairement sur les sujets d’intérêt commun.
