This page is just monetising its own clubs downfall.
BREAKING: The UAE is warning British Prime Minister Andy Burnham it will pull billions of pounds of investment the Government was seeking for a hi-tech hub between Oxford and Cambridge, billed as the UK’s answer to Silicon Valley, in retaliation for the guilty verdict against #ManCity. Expensive lawyers you say…
Manchester City defence may be undermined by Etihad statement thetimes.com/article/377701a…

Given Man City have appealed without any sanctions, it will be interesting to see if they get a double appeal once, and if, punishment is deemed severe by them. Severity is a laid down claim to appeal in this country.

He has a point regarding government sponsorship arguments.
Well this is awkward… thought government sponsorship was bad.

I can see a situation whereby everyone, bar 5 clubs and possibly Palace, side with City to get the rules changed to make it fair for all. I hope it does tbh.

In the words of Bonnie Blue, come again?
BREAKING! Sky Sports News understands that players and their representatives have contacted lawyers over potential claims against Man City. It's understood that players are consulting lawyers over missed bonuses - whether that is from missing out on a title or on European qualification.

Well done city, I’ve changed my opinion!
Jamie Carragher: “I look back at that Jurgen Klopp team. His team missed out on winning the league and being invincible. The only game they lost was to Man City. We talk about Arsenal and invincible but Liverpool were one game away from that. When you think of that time, City had the edge on Liverpool because they had more players. Liverpool basically had the same starting eleven every week. The front three was the same and everyone knew the team but City had an extra 3-4 players who could get them over the line.” [@WeAreTheOverlap] #LFC

£400m sponsorship you say… Etihad lost money early, first profited in 2011, then lost ~$5.6bn from 2016–19 via failed airline stakes, plus Covid losses. Under ADQ it recovered: $25m profit in 2022, rising to a record $698m in 2025 on $8.4bn revenue.
Manchester City's principal sponsor say they are considering taking legal action against the Premier League. Etihad Airways is the Abu Dhabi state airline which has sponsored City since 2009.

This should not be a ministerial discussion @andyburnham Silence is sometimes best.
Prime Minister Andy Burnham would be "really concerned" to lose Manchester City owners as a result of club being found guilty of Premier League financial rule breaches, by an independent commission. The club are expected to appeal the decision.

Love it!
Imagine 20 riders competing in the Tour de France. Five are allowed to use electric bikes, while the other 15 are restricted to ordinary pedal bikes. Then one of those 15 pedal bike riders finds a way to secretly turn his bike into an electric bike, giving him the same advantage as the five who were officially allowed them. He won and the other 5 complained. The other 14 are still expected to pedal their way around the course under the original rules. And we’re supposed to call that a fair and competitive race.

Poor Tiger only got his leg over once or twice.
Everton should not be penalized for building a stadium to enhance club and city. It's one significant reason why a ten-point penalty is so disproportionate and wrong . My @MailSport column: dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba…

Another 3 brands tainted. #Lucozade #Kellogs #Revolut
Manchester City sponsors are standing by the club in wake of the club’s guilty verdict. Lucozade, Kellogg’s and Revolut have all told SSN they are not commenting on the independent commission’s findings while the process remains ongoing. The club intend to appeal the decision.

Whilst I really don’t like the bloke, Richard Masters has gone up in my estimation. He has put a marker down on the Sly 6.
