The part about @vangrid_io that actually caught my attention isn’t the AI side.
It’s what happens when you send a stranger to do physical work for you.
Say there’s a $100 bounty to capture an underpass across town.
Someone sees it, accepts the task, pays for transport, spends an hour recording everything...
Then the requester disappears.
Now the contributor is the one eating the cost.
That’s where escrow becomes interesting.
The bounty is funded upfront in USDC on Base and locked while the task is active.
So before leaving home, the contributor can at least know:
the money is actually there.
And the requester still has protection because the funds only move when the submission is accepted according to the protocol.
No awkward “trust me, I’ll pay you.”
No contributor gambling their transport money on a stranger’s promise.
Just the reward committed before the work begins.
That’s the kind of blockchain use case I find easier to get behind.
Not because the worker needs crypto.
Because strangers need a reliable way to coordinate money.
