The Safe Centre of Peel was proud to be part of the Safer Together Conference, hosted by Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa. We had the opportunity to speak about supporting survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) through an integrated service delivery model.
Life can feel busy, overwhelming, and unpredictable. Taking a few moments to slow down and create a sense of calm can help you reconnect with yourself. Whether it's enjoying a warm drink, taking a few deep breaths, listening to calming music, or simply sitting in silence.
We’re excited to welcome Bon Ami Community Service to the Safe Centre Collaborative! @bonamics
We’re grateful to have Bon Ami join our collaborative network and look forward to working together to strengthen support and create safer, more connected communities.
Affirmation can be a good way to take a moment to remind yourself to turn towards positive thoughts. Let those thoughts become habit by repeating affirmations daily. Here are a few examples to start!
The Safe Centre is available at two different locations! We are located in The Circle: Peel Centre for Child, Youth and Family Well-Being in Mississauga (25 Capston Drive), and in the Honorable William G. Davis Centre for Families in Brampton (60 West Drive, Suite 110).
Healing is a journey and some days can be more heavy than others. Difficult moments don't mean we've failed, they just show us we're human. Don't forget that everyone's journey looks different and that healing takes time.

The Safe Centre of Peel strengthens our community by providing single location services that are coordinated, responsive, & accessible to those who have experienced intimate partner violence. We have two locatons, one in Brampton (60 West) & one in Mississauga (25 Capston).
Checking-in on ourselves can help with creating more self-awareness, reduce stress build-up, & meeting your needs before you hit your limit. A few simple way to check in, can be by focusing on your breathing, taking a break, or asking yourself if you need anything in this moment.
Safe Centre is proud to recognize our valued partner, the Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Unit at Peel Regional Police. By working collaboratively with agencies at Safe Centre, the IPV Unit helps create a more coordinated and compassionate response for survivors seeking support.
Taking time to care for your mind and body isn't about being perfect, it's about creating routines that help you feel your best. Which healthy habit are you focusing on this week?
The Safe Centre of Peel believes that support should be accessible, connected, and centered around your needs. That's why we've partnered with a wide network of organizations to provide coordinated services in one welcoming space.
Collaboration guides everything we do at the Safe Centre. By working together with community partners & those we support, we create coordinated, compassionate care that reduces barriers & puts safety, choice, & healing first. We have two locations, to better serve the community!
