A big week over in Salford. GRIT Studios officially opened and our first artists moved in. This previously empty building is now back in use as affordable studio space for Salford's 'Grafters & Crafters'.
We can’t wait to see the community build and the creativity unleashed!

**Introducing GRIT Salford**
Salford is a place with plenty of grit, so it's only fitting that we'll be opening our next studio in the city. We'll be repurposing this empty bank at Salford Shopping Centre into affordable studio space for over 20 local grassroots creatives.

The pouring rain didn't stop the ace artists, 1000s of visitors, DJs, musicians, dancers, volunteers, local independent traders, from doing what Stockport does best - coming together to make good stuff happen.

A delivery of wood chipping today led to lots of laughs down in the community garden.
Volunteers from our local @stockporthomes hostels and the brilliant S&A from @viyproject helped with litter picking, spreading chipping.
If anyone wants any chipping, we’ve lots left over!
