#ManCity do not believe a statement made by Etihad Airways to a US investigation in 2015 undermines their defence but strengthens it. The club will argue that Etihad secured funding from the Crown Prince Court for the promotion of Abu Dhabi and once it received that money it became part of the airline’s “liquidity”, and that the government did not pay @ManCity directly on behalf of Etihad.
Etihad statement in 2015: “The assertion that the Abu Dhabi government paid for Etihad’s sponsorship of Manchester City is equally false. In 2011 Etihad and Manchester City entered into a 10-year sponsorship agreement, which included naming rights for Manchester City’s stadium. Etihad funded this sponsorship from its own liquidity. It is not uncommon for airlines to have sponsorships with sports teams and their venues.”

The point people defending City and decrying PSR are missing is this - if this is how much City felt comfortable to spend on their owner's coin with PSR in place, can you imagine the amount of money they'd have spent without it?

My worry with Iraola was that he wouldn't necessarily bring the defensive solidity we needed but he's nailed that. We know he can coach a lethal attack so it's time to relax and wait for that to click properly too.

Khan comes across as childish here and all he's done is given the "creeping Shariah law!!!" morons a lovely little video clip to 'prove' that UK citizens are being forced to speak Muslim languages now. Guarantee it'll be played on repeat with that explanation all over the place.
