Stopped by Worth Brewing Company in Northwood yesterday. Got a great tour of the brewery from Brendan, and we chatted about how the Secretary of State’s office can improve and expand services for small businesses like his.

I was glad to see the Supreme Court strike down attempts to make major changes to absentee voting. This would have caused chaos for service members, students, rural voters, and so many other working Iowans who vote by mail.

The Supreme Court just struck down a rule that would have made major changes mail-in voting. This is a win for Iowa voters, thanks to the states across the country who fought back against this rule. But Paul Pate refused to join them in standing up for Iowans. We deserve better.

I was honored to walk the picket line with UAW members in Cedar Rapids who have been on strike for nearly 2 months now. These workers deserve a fair contract. I will always stand with working Iowans in their fight against corporate greed.

After the parade yesterday we made our way over to Labor Day picnics in Iowa City and Burlington. It was great spending the afternoon and evening with so many incredible, hardworking Iowans.

These attempts to change our election systems just 2 months before Election Day do nothing to help with security, but do everything to create chaos. No matter what happens, it’s crucial that you still get out and vote, and have your voice heard.
