Her husband told a court she was too strong to be a wife. The judge agreed and stripped Wangari Maathai of everything, her family, her job, her home. She looked around and noticed women walking miles every single day just to collect firewood. So she handed them seeds instead. The government responded with arrests, beatings, and a padlocked office door. 30,000 women trained. 51 million trees planted across Kenya. Nobel Peace Prize in 2004. They handed her destruction. She turned it into an entire forest.

Another Death Inside A Police Station! 24 years old Brian Njung’e, a student at Kiambu National Polytechnic, was arrested yesterday Thursday 21st May morning in Kirigiti area of Kiambu town and booked at Kiambu Police Station. Brian called his mother from the police station around 9am and they spoke, where Brian informed the mother of his arrest. The family, including the mother, rushed to the police station to follow up. They got there just before noon and requested to see Brian but were asked to wait. They were kept waiting until around 2pm when they were called in and informed that Brian had allegedly committed suicide in the cells. Police claim Brian was alone in the cells as other cellmates had been taken to court. The family is crying foul and wants justice arguing that the police story doesn’t add up.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court has just made a massive ruling on YOUR pension money. Attorney General Dorcas Oduor and 3 others LOST the case while defending the government’s position. For years, the government treated pension money deducted from workers’ salaries as if it were public money. That is why pension schemes faced endless bureaucracy, procurement rules, delays, and costly approvals before investing your savings. The Association of Retirement Benefits Schemes challenged this in court. They lost in the High Court. Lost again in the Court of Appeal. But on 15th May 2026, the Supreme Court finally ruled in their favour. The court declared that pension schemes sponsored by public entities and state corporations are PRIVATE TRUSTS, not government money. Meaning? Your pension is YOUR money. Not the government’s. Trustees can now invest faster, avoid unnecessary procurement bureaucracy, and potentially grow retirement savings better for millions of Kenyans. This is one of the biggest financial rulings most wananchi have never heard about.

There is a MASS DETENTION of young men aged 15-35 going on in #Tanzania as we speak! Mass Murderer In Chief has given orders to the police to detain all young men except her sons apparently 🙄 This is just fueling further rage! They are also intimidating lawyers to stop them from defending the youth! And of course not a single one of the detained like Niffer and others have been released! It is a nightmare! But #D9 protests will not be stopped ✊🏽🇹🇿 #TanzaniaMassacre #SamiaMustGo

My people, something deeply disturbing has happened in Mombasa, and we cannot stay silent. This week, a 5-year-old girl named Khairun Hassan tragically lost her life under very unclear circumstances at a madrassa inside a mosque in Leisure, Nyali. The story being given by the imam and the mosque administration has serious gaps: They claim the little girl "made a mistake" and, as punishment, the imam locked her alone in a room. While crying and in distress, she reportedly climbed onto something, fell (or jumped) from a height inside the room/madrassa. Moments later, the child was found with fatal injuries, and the explanation being offered simply does not make sense. What followed raises even more alarm: The burial was rushed the same day, using Islam as a basis No postmortem No proper medical examination And reliable sources say that although the case was reported to DCI Mombasa, there are strong efforts to derail the investigation The father is reportedly being pressured to drop the case and "leave it to Allah" My people, how do we accept this? In a country where we have seen cases of boys, girls, men, and women being assaulted and then thrown off a building to the ground to make it appear that they committed suicide, this whole situation looks fishy How does a 5y old end up locked alone as punishment? Why did the imam do that How does a 5yr old throw herself from top of a room that she had been locked inside alone? Why was no postmortem done? Why silence a grieving father and sweep everything under the carpet? This is not normal. This is not Islamic. This is not right. We demand: An immediate, independent investigation by DCI and child protection authorities A proper postmortem if necessary Full transparency and accountability from the mosque leadership A child’s life has been lost in a place that was supposed to protect her. Justice for Khairun Hassan. We will not let her voice be buried. My people, please share, tag the authorities, and raise your voices until the truth comes out.

David Mwendwa, son of former IG of Police Hillary Mutyambai allegedly assaulted his cousin over the weekend. Walimwengu are suspecting that the mumu might have tried to supply electricity forcefully and the lady refused after a night of refreshments. The lady, who is now under witness protection, is said to have suffered immense torture and the former police boss reportedly threatened the family not to utter a word to the public. She eventually reached out to Sonko for intervention, and it’s through his help that the lady’s predicaments came to light. The era of rich kids getting away with atrocities is long gone, nowadays if the courts fails to deliver justice, the public will. Kama kawa sisi walala hoii hatuna maoni, Letu Jicho tu. 👀
