After raising the alarm on this @Kick investigated. They fixed the issue for our rescue and others impacted and back-paid the missing funds. Missing income hit the account today so thank you for that.
If you find your income doesn't make sense then contact support with as much data as you can. Use the analytics pages available to prove your case. Sometimes support isn't empowered to handle issues like this so you'll need to keep at it until it's right.
Glad this got resolved.
After implementing this change to the KPP our rescue stream has dropped ~60% in revenue overnight on Kick. Starting on September 16th and for every stream going forward.
Kick support claims it's now a 30 day average of the income of our streams but this doesn't make sense. That broadcast has had steadily increasing viewership over the last 60, 30, and 7 days. It's also a 24/7 stream and has the same number of hours every broadcast.
A "30 day average" when viewership is only going up and hours streamed is the same does not explain a ~60% drop in KPP income. Other creators are also talking about similar declines so it's not just us.
Kick needs to revert this new weighted average change. It's immediately impacted income in a negative way for creators and that income cannot be correctly calculated on our end. It makes the platform look dishonest overall and doesn't align with their stated creator first goals.
