Penny Hardaway on the importance of two big wins after some offseason noise surrounding Memphis: “Last year was an anomaly… my teams don’t play like that. I’ve done great in the past 7 years of winning 20+ games with a schedule just like this, so it’s not my first time winning… We’ve always won. Last year was the one year that we didn’t.”

A reminder Memphis has started the season with two high-quality wins, and they’ve done it without Nemanja Popovic—who many believe will be one of their undisputed best players.
If they beat Vandy this week, I might be ready to say some irresponsible things about this team.

Fire 🔥. Hope this kid continues to ball
Just look at what today meant to Jayden Reid.
In tears in his postgame interview after dropping 32 and coming up clutch to lead Memphis to a huge win over VCU.
Great job by my guys @Greg_Gaston and @Treydraper3 to let him show his full emotions.
An instant fan favorite here.

Good for him
Austin Simmons has officially resigned to return to Missouri for the 2027 season.
It’s looking like the decision of first round QBs in this draft will be between
QB Darian Mensah - Miami
QB Trinidad Chambliss - Ole Miss
QB Dante Moore - Oregon
QB CJ Carr - Notre Dame
First round QB class of doom and despair
