📝 Poetry can offer a way to put difficult experiences into words. Mandem, Let’s Talk is a free South-East London workshop run by black-led charity Poetic Unity where men use spoken word to discuss mental health, identity, masculinity and the social pressures they face. Research by the Priory Group found that 77% of men surveyed had experienced symptoms of anxiety, stress or depression, while 40% said they had never spoken to anyone about their mental health.
