v8.8000001.5 adds Merkleized-metadata signing, your Ledger displays the full details of what you're signing, not an opaque blob.
⚠️ Ledger Live won't offer it as an update. Uninstall the old app first. 🧵

The old app was v107.7000.6. The new versioning is 8.8000001.5, so Ledger Live reads the new release as lower and doesn't prompt.
Removing the old app is safe and doesn't touch your keys. They're derived from your device seed. Same path and same addresses.
