The Truth About Ron DeSantis Ron DeSantis is the son of a nurse and a cable box installer. He went to and graduated from public school. His first job out of high school was as an electrician’s assistant. He worked his ass off to get to Yale University, then worked his ass off at Yale to get to Harvard Law. He didn’t use his fancy law degree to go into private practice and get rich. He joined the Navy to serve as a JAG officer in Iraq. Later, when he got elected to the US House, he became a founding member of the Freedom Caucus. Those are the people fighting to limit government and stay true to the Constitution. You know, conservatives. I’m sure you already know the rest. I’m not going to start listing off his accomplishments as governor because it would be far too much to read for a Twitter post. I just wanted to clear up any confusion about his ”elitism” and the idiotic obsession over whether he’s supported by “the Establishment.” Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush and Meghan McCain could get a picture of DeSantis tattooed on their foreheads and it would not affect my vote one iota. This is not a soap opera or TV drama. It’s a question of who is best suited to give my children their best shot at a decent country. Right now, our country, both Republicans and Democrats, are stuck on stupid. We have a really good shot at changing that. If you disagree, that’s fine. That’s your right. I’ll just make a deal with you: go easy on lying about my preferred candidate and I’ll go easy on telling the truth about yours. Thanks for reading.

I am driving through Los Angeles, returning home from a golf tournament, and I just stopped at a Chick-fil-A restaurant (I’m a huge fan). I was confused because there was a large crowd of teenagers outside that were in line to get food. It turns out, that there is a high school near by that has caused this local restaurant so many problems that their students are banned from coming into the restaurant. This would be unremarkable in most situations, except for the fact that the school in question is very clearly made up of mostly black students. It was literally shocking to me that a national franchise would have the balls to do the right thing and enforce any sort of accountability for bad behavior (while protecting their adult costumers). Especially in a place like Los Angeles with the potential downside being so great if one of the local LA professional race hustlers caught wind of this and decided to cry “Racism!” to the all-too-accommodating woke local news media. Kudos to @ChickfilA for having a backbone (how sad it is that, at least in LA, not being afraid of the race terrorists is worthy of praise and congratulations!)!

The problem with the whole Trump and Xi thing is it’s a smart move for Trump…..if he were dealing with a dumb adversary. Co-opting China into many of our initiatives (from energy to technology to war) is a great move in theory. It would be a death knell for Iran. It would keep everyone honest regarding AI. It would greatly decrease the likelihood of what is seen as an inevitable war between our two countries for global supremacy. The problem is China can see right through it. Flattery is wonderful for dinner parties but in matters of state, China has an agenda and they accept nothing less than ruthless efficiency toward its end. As soon as the cameras are off and Xi has established secure comms with his inner circle, the conversation is about how they’ll use the Americans’ ‘keep your enemies closer’ strategy to their own advantage. The only peaceful way to defeat China is the intelligent use of leverage to cripple their economy. Any counter-arguments are welcomed.

The Theory: China and America come together to cooperate on powerful technology so that the world reaps its benefits rather than its destruction. The Reality: China shares only what they want us to see while stealing precious information and IP from us, all while smiling and praising the new partnership.

I’m seeing a lot of stuff about the Syrian president and his terror ties, etc. Sorry to be That Guy but here is the truth. We’ve been funding and arming jihadis in Syria for upwards of two decades. Benghazi was little more than a weapons depot for the CIA to fund jihadis fighting the Assad regime. Guys like the current Syrian president have been in bed with America for a long time. This is just a case of people being off-put that America brought her mistress to the party.

Is there not one person in DC who can train this man to act like the head of a world power? Commies laugh at this garbage.

AI videos on social media are brain-rotting slop. AI decryption tools that disable launch pads are a good thing. Issues are nuanced and hard, but it boils down to accepting the garbage in exchange for the benefits. AI in the right hands could mean world peace. Or conversely it could mean world war. But the debate over whether it’s coming is over. It’s here. The only argument is regulation.

I understand the concerns many have about AI. I’m not saying they’re all invalid. Here’s the reality, though. Our national defense relies upon our staying at the vanguard of AI. Regulation is certainly needed, but if you don’t want American women learning to say ‘Me love you long time’ in Mandarin, consider not laying on the tracks as the future-train approaches.
