PrePulse Project Pulse: Atum enters our research watchlist.
Confirmed: public docs, APIs/examples and security reviews for a non-custodial payments network.
Unproven: live volume, active providers, repeat users and failure rates.
Independent research—not an endorsement.
Today’s cross-signal:
Fact: BTC and ETH are both down about 2.7%, despite Sept. 23 spot-ETF inflows of $346.9M and $104.5M.
Interpretation: wrapper demand remains positive, but broader selling is stronger. Watch spot CVD, stablecoin liquidity and market breadth.
Have you built an empire powerful enough to face the invaders? 🏰
This week, climb up the leaderboard by spending resources on building and research upgrades and town expansions.
Capital-flow check:
Fact: DefiLlama’s Sept. 22 snapshot showed Solana at $23.6M in 30-day user fees vs Ethereum’s $12M, while ETH burned slightly more: $2.8M vs $2.66M.
Question: did DEX volume, users and token capture confirm the same shift?
NEAR gained 81% in 7 days. Rhea DEX volume rose 49% versus the prior week, while fees increased 177%.
Yet NEAR stablecoin supply rose only 1.8%.
The signal: activity accelerated, but fresh ecosystem liquidity has not confirmed the price move at the same pace. #NEAR

More data does not always mean more confidence.
If one token has rich market, liquidity and developer coverage while another has only social data, their scores are not comparable.
A detection system should measure signal strength—and the quality of the evidence behind it.
A signal should be measured against its own baseline.
A 50% volume jump may be ordinary for a volatile micro-cap and exceptional for a mature asset. Comparing raw changes across tokens rewards noise.
Ask: unusual for the market—or unusual for this asset?
An exchange deposit is a possibility—not a sale.
Moving tokens to a venue increases potential sell-side liquidity. It becomes evidence only when spot selling, order-book pressure and exchange balances confirm it.
Wallet movement is the alert. Market reaction is confirmation.
Missing confirmation is a signal too.
If social attention surges but liquidity, spot volume and developer activity stay flat, the absence of follow-through matters.
Multi-signal detection should score what did not change—not only what did.
Fact: the Fed raised rates 25 bp to 3.75–4.00%. Bitcoin is near $76.4K (+0.6% today), while ETH is around $2,439 (+1.4%).
Interpretation: crypto absorbed the hike, but durable risk-on still needs spot demand, liquidity and market breadth.
Build update: PrePulse is testing signal persistence, not just signal appearance.
A spike may be real and still be useless if it fades before liquidity, market activity or developer evidence confirms it.
The goal: separate durable momentum from short-lived noise.
Signals have an expiry date.
A news or social spike can fade in minutes; liquidity changes may persist longer; developer activity often unfolds over days or weeks.
Multi-signal detection should discount stale evidence—not treat every signal as equally current.
Five signals are not five confirmations if they share one cause.
A news headline can lift social mentions, volume and price. Counting each as independent evidence creates false confidence.
Detection should ask whether signals add new information—not merely echo the same event.
Sunday signal check:
Fact: Crypto market cap is down 0.8% in 24h to $2.71T, while BTC dominance is 57.1%. Stablecoin supply is nearly flat over 7d at $305.3B.
Interpretation: risk appetite looks selective; broad liquidity confirmation remains limited.
Signal disagreement is information.
If price and social attention rise while liquidity depth falls, confidence should decrease—not increase.
A multi-signal system should expose contradictions. Fragile moves often look strongest through only one lens.
Multi-signal detection is not a vote count.
Market data moves in seconds; social attention in minutes; developer activity in days. Combining them without time alignment can create false confirmation.
Ask not only what changed, but when—and whether the sequence makes sense.
Build update: PrePulse is in private testing.
We’re separating detection from confirmation. A single spike can attract attention, but a useful signal needs independent evidence and persistence over time.
Being early is not enough. Context matters.
