חוזרים לזירות הגבורה: מפכ"ל המשטרה וסגל הפיקוד הבכיר קיימו ביקור מיוחד בזירות הלחימה בדרום, בהן נפלו שוטרים ולוחמים בהגנה על מדינת ישראל בשבעה באוקטובר הביקור נפתח בשעה 06:29, השעה שבה החלה מתקפת הטרור בשבעה באוקטובר, בהצדעה מתוזמנת ב-12 זירות לחימה שבהן נפלו שוטרים ולוחמים בקרבות הבלימה. מפכ"ל המשטרה וסגל הפיקוד הבכיר קיימו טקס בתחנת המשטרה הישנה בשדרות ובאותה שעה, התקיימו במקביל טקסי הצדעה ביתר זירות הלחימה, שבמהלכם הונחו זרים לזכר השוטרים והלוחמים שנפלו. בתום הטקס יצאו המפכ"ל וסגל הפיקוד הבכיר בשיירה ממלכתית של כלי רכב משטרתיים, שנשאו את דגלי ישראל, משדרות לעבר קיבוץ רעים. במהלך הביקור התייחדו המפקדים עם זכר הנופלים במוקדי הקרבות וההנצחה. המפכ"ל, רנ"צ דני לוי: "בכל זירות הלחימה חיברה בין אנשינו הגיבורים אותה שליחות, להגיע אל מי שנמצא בסכנה ולהציל את חייו. שוטרינו לחמו, מעטים מול רבים, באמצעים מעטים ותחת אש כבדה. יחד היו לשרשרת אנושית של גבורה, רעות והצלת חיים".
