On this side the complete crash in the number of Russian bots on this platform is very, very much noticeable. But for so many Russians, their entire system has come crashing down…
Yandex is Russia's leading IT giant; its cloud infrastructure supports not only the civilian sector but also business systems and government agencies, meaning the consequences of the attacks on it are systemic:
Damage to data centers caused disruptions to over 80 of the company's services (including Yandex Go, Yandex Taxi, Yandex Music, Yandex Pay, and Yandex Pro). Since the Yandex Cloud platform provides computing power to third-party companies, the infrastructure of many major Russian enterprises also went down.
Transport collapse: Taxi and courier delivery operations were completely blocked in many Russian cities (drivers lost access to navigation and their accounts).
Paralysis of retail and banking: Systems belonging to major marketplaces (Wildberries, Ozon) and large retail chains (Pyaterochka, Lenta, Magnit) were affected, as were the services of leading banks (T-Bank, Alfa-Bank) and the Russian Railways (RZD) website.
Issues with government services: Access problems were reported on the "Gosuslugi" portal and the websites of several Russian media outlets.
Incidentally, there are reports that the number of Russian bots on social media has dropped significantly.
