Pleased to see it out at last! Digging down into the lived experience and ways of thinking that objects, fabrics, scents etc brought with them onto the stage, in short chapters based around particular things (with colour images!).
Beds, perfumes, doublets, torches, lutes, clocks, handkerchiefs… Who owned these objects in early modern England? How were they used?
