I recently started a #WW2 Substack. It’s all free and the latest article for #Arnhem82 is about the British and Commonwealth casualties at Arnhem: ww2revisited.substack.com/p/…

Whilst you’re eating your breakfast this weekend, this is what was happening at Verdun 110 years ago. Two French soldiers: my gt-grandfather Sgt Jules Destrigneville (L) & Hervé Lambert (R) of the 315e RI were living one of worst weeks of their lives. This is their story 🧵

At the Fashion and Textile Museum in London to see the small exhibit about pinstuck cushions, on until 13 September and you have to buy entry to the museum's main exhibition but worth it I felt.

Fantastic, Albertina! I have several of these, all with Suffolk Regiment badges, stretching from the 1890s to the 1930s. 🙂

This is not #scifi - it's a photograph taken by one of us, on this day in 1971, during Apollo 15. It also happens to be one of the fine art prints an Apollo Moonwalker (I can't say which one) ordered from my website and had framed for his wall at home - an absolute beauty!

One giant leap for mankind History was made on July 20, 1969, when Apollo 11's Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first to set foot on the Moon. For more than 5 decades, the total number of moonwalkers has remained at 12. NASA will change that with Artemis IV.
