Agree with the original statement although it doesn’t annoy me, I just see it. Several times a match, it’s usually Len or Cybertron correcting some blatantly wrong information. That being said, I think all the casters bring unique personality and energy that would be almost irreplaceable. You can just tell who plays the game more is all.
Honestly, the casters for VGC do an absolute amazing job and are so invested in the game. They truly know how to approach the stream games with no bias & are aware of the different game states happening for both players.

Ppl defending ZA are legitimately fucking weird. They act like that game is their child and the must defend it at all costs lol. It was dogshit, and look at the track record, pokemon has been declining hard. We, the consumer, deserve a better product from the #1 media franchise in the world…. Keep defending it, and keep on overpaying for unfinished lazy games, but hey, day 1 dlc announced!

I've hardly used Showdown since Champions released, but I've had even less desire to do so amidst all these bots running around. The quest to solve a game is simultaneously a quest to kill its spirit. Never thought this could happen to my game.

VGC is such a niche game, you either love it or hate it. So much rng alone in a bo1 environment, stale meta at both launches with tons of rockslide frustration for a new player to deal with. Lack of overall content… we are honestly better off going back to the main series games, and taking some of the positive changes from champions for ease of Pokémon spread change etc.

The cts argument is so dumb lol. The hard pill to swallow is they still scout you. They’re still in these exclusive build groups. Now they just scout you on ladder and either steal the team or counter it. I had wolfes steelix team before the regional and was dead ass testing it on ladder. Different moves etc as it was seen in bo1 but point being, this still happens. So the argument is dumb. It still happens at regionals as well, seen it and have had a close friend costed a round to it as well. Another hard pill to swallow is ots is easier. It’s less cheese and it’s pure Pokémon, sure, but the game is easier when you have a cheat sheet, it tells you the variables that can happen that turn, nothing More can happen, they can’t have a tech you’re worried about etc. it is the same ppl you’re worried about scouting you just have all the information now. Wild argument imo. That being said, I’m pro ots. I find the game simpler and easier to access and I find while it’s far less creative, there is far less cheese and it gives newer players a chance to compete with experienced players.
I don't really care whether you are pro or against AI in VGC. However, I can see a world where every opponent will simulate the next round matchup in their phones 5 min before the match starts. if something like this happens, it would be a lot cooler if we go back to CTS!

Agree with both posts honestly. The original post is true, you can’t compete with the privileged few who can go to almost every event. They simply have more opportunity, but still work their ass off, but the money involved alone your average “pro” spends is insane, especially considering the payout is shit, they just love it more than you. You just can’t compete with ppl flying to small out of country regionals, 4/6 hours for a local etc lol. On the flip side, you can practice with intent and maximize your opportunity in the events you can attend and make Your impact there. A lot of the reason I’ve quit is making worlds circuit damn near a part time job. I’m not in a position to realistically chase that without severely neglecting my home life, so there’s no proverbial “carrot” at the end of the stick for me to chase. Both answers are correct
90 minutes of intentional practice per day over a 4 month period will result in you consistently making day 2 at regionals. Treat it like an extra class. Stop coping.

They also said Char Y was a fraud at the very beginning LOL. Do your own testing, if you can get it to work, bring it 🤙🏼
"Mega Scovillain is going to be bad!" *Finished 3rd and 4th at Worlds* "Mega Raichu Y is going to be bad!" *3 Top Cuts at Worlds* "Mega Garchomp Z is going to be bad!" *Got 1st & 2nd place at the second M-C Regional* Can we all agree to stop judging before the meta settles??
