While there continues to be limited mindshare around Vibestarter, I like how they are advancing. I topped up my position on Fomo to close to 1%.
@CyphrGM is actively shipping. He has been teasing new raises which will be highly curated. He is also building an adjacent project which may launch on Vibestarter itself.
The team hosted their first community townhall this weekend, giving a voice to holders, implementing changes. At the same time, team was hinting at some support from Base regarding a future initiative.
As you may know from my posts, I like betting on teams which keep on working. Eventually the attention will flow to them and they will be successful.
All it takes here is one banger launch on the platform.
Yesterday we held our first community town hall. Thank you to everyone who showed up, and particularly to everyone who shared feedback.
Three important issues surfaced on the call, and all three are going on the roadmap.
1 - Backers need a voice before a challenge: Today, backers can comment on founder actions as they happen and they can file a challenge, but nothing in between obliges a founder to answer.
We will therefore be adding a formal way to put a concern or feedback to a founder: they are notified, the response goes on the record, and it happens before anyone bonds tokens. A challenge should be where a disagreement ends up, not where it starts.
2 - Founders need a way to stop gracefully: Vibestarter is built for people shipping their first thing, so naturally some projects will not work out. That is a normal outcome, not a scandal. Today a founder who wants to step away either goes quiet and waits to be challenged, or asks us to run refunds by hand.
To address this, we will be adding a founder-requested refund, reviewed before it executes, so a wind-down can happen in the open and backers get back what is left.
3 - Funding transparency: Founders should be able to explain how funds from each tranche is going to be used. This will be an optional feature to provide an additional layer of transparency to backers, and ultimately avoid challenges.
None of these were our ideas, they came from you, the community. We will post more details as each one ships.
