To make yourself harder to find:
- search your own name and opt out of data broker sites (repeat it, listings come back)
- turn off location tagging on your camera and apps
- use a password manager for unique passwords, plus 2FA
- use email aliases for sign-ups
- use a VPN to hide your IP address (it won't remove GPS data from photos)
- watch for fast battery drain or apps you don't recognize
If you suspect stalkerware, removing it can alert whoever installed it. If you're in an abusive relationship, talk to a domestic violence advocate first.
