Heather Mason in SILENT HILL 3 was an absolute technical flex on PS2. 🤯🔥 This character model was reportedly built with around 8,000 polygons — on hardware from 2000. But what really sells it here is the lighting. 🌑 Shadows from the blinds actually wrap across her face 💡 Skin and clothing react beautifully to the scene lighting 👁️ Facial detail still holds up shockingly well 🎭 The atmosphere feels almost pre-rendered at times Konami was squeezing EVERYTHING out of the PS2. And this GIF is from a game released in 2003. Insane.

In hindsight, FORSPOKEN was criminally underrated — just like DAYS GONE. The internet decided what both games were before most people even gave them a fair shot. ⚡ Forspoken had some of the fastest, most stylish traversal in any open-world RPG 🔥 Magic combat became ridiculously fun once the full arsenal opened up 🌍 Athia had a strange, lonely atmosphere that felt genuinely different 🎮 The movement system made simply crossing the map entertaining Was it flawless? Absolutely not. But the gap between “imperfect game” and “bad game” got completely lost in the discourse. Feels like FORSPOKEN is heading for the same late reappraisal DAYS GONE eventually got. 👀

PATH TRACING needs to be a core PlayStation 6 feature. 🔥 Not just “better ray tracing.” I’m talking fully transformed lighting. 💡 Physically accurate global illumination 🪞 Reflections that actually match the world 🌑 Natural shadows with proper light bounce 🌆 Night scenes that look genuinely next-gen 🎮 Cleaner, more cinematic visuals with less fake lighting tricks If PS6 is supposed to feel like a real generational leap, path tracing should be part of the baseline visual target. Agree or too demanding for consoles? 👀
