Introducing dynamic Price Bands on QFEX
Price bands protect traders from fat-finger errors and manipulation. Buy orders above the upper band and sell orders below the lower band are rejected before reaching the matching engine.
Band width now adjusts by product and trading session:
Lower band = P × (1−f)
Upper band = P × (1+f)
P is the latest Market Data Price and f is the session factor. Bands widen when reference markets are active and tighten when they are closed or less liquid.
