Really sad and difficult to read this about Karamoko Dembélé. The former Celtic youngster has spoken about his experience at a Scotland youth camp, alleging that he was racially abused and bullied by a teammate when he was still very young. He said the player used a racial slur, repeatedly targeted him, and that he felt unable to defend himself because he was two years younger. What really stands out is that he didn’t report it at the time because he felt disgusted and embarrassed about speaking up. Nobody, especially a young player, should have to go through something like that. It’s a reminder of how important it is for young footballers to feel safe, supported and able to speak out when something isn’t right. Hopefully his decision to talk about it now will encourage others who have experienced similar treatment to know they’re not alone. ❤️🍀
