Everyone who achieved anything worthwhile not only believed it was possible but that it was inevitable. This might seem trite but it is one of the deepest truths about motivation and success there is. If you want to make $1M a year you must first believe it is possible for you personally to do so. And then you must believe it is inevitable. Both must happen long before you will ever actually get there. This is just as true with finding a great partner or achieving your dream physique or any other difficult thing. Many attribute this to woowoo or other worldy reasons but it can be explained much more simply: you will have set backs and challenges along the way, you will have dozens if not hundreds of opportunities to make excuses and give up. And inversely, you will have dozens of opportunities which you can capitalize on if you’re looking for them. If you dont think its possible, you will see the set backs as proof its not possible and give up. If you think it’s inevitable, you will see the setbacks as learning and growth opportunities and keep going. Similarly, if you don’t think its possible, you will not even look for opportunities that will get you to the next step and thus will not see them. But if you think it’s inevitable, that is ALL you will be looking for. It is really as simple as: if i tell you to name every green thing in your vision, you will fail to find all the red ones. What you look for is what you find. And what you believe is inevitable is what becomes inevitable. If you believe you are doomed to be alone or fat or poor, that is what you will become because that is what you will aim at. If you believe you are blessed to be loved and fit and rich, that is what you will become for the same reasons. If you dont believe its inevitable you will have a great life, then you must lie to yourself that it is inevitable. Repeat the end state you wish was inevitable as if it were inevitable every day for even a month and you will make more progress towards it than you have in the last decade. If you dont believe me, go try it and report back in 30 days.
