This week, I'm urging the U.S. House and Senate to pass legislation that would expand the ability of states to investigate and prosecute Medicaid recipient fraud. We must ensure Medicaid dollars are spent as intended and not diverted by those seeking to abuse the system. oklahoma.gov/oag/news/newsro…

Good morning, early birds! Rep. Mark Tedford became the presumptive Republican nominee in the First Congressional District race Wednesday, less than 24 hours after Tuesday's primary, when Jackson Lahmeyer announced he is suspending is campaign.

It was somewhat better for Democrats, who had four statewide races on the ballot. In the Corp Comm vote, the third race on the ballot, more than 5500 fewer votes were cast than for Governor. The number improved for US Senate, but still 3560 fewer votes were cast.

Good morning, early birds! One of the cool things about my job is that I learn things. For example, I learned Monday that SpaceX owns satellite and ground communications facilities in two Oklahoma counties.

As I was preparing some of the notes for today's election, I was reminded one then-incumbent legislator was the top vote getter in their primary two years ago by one vote. That contest went on to the primary runoff, where the challenger won by 28 votes.
