We are proud to announce that Riverside Brookfield High School has earned an Exemplary designation from the Illinois State Board of Education on the 2025–26 Illinois Report Card! This is the third time in the last four years that RBHS has earned this distinction. An Exemplary designation is the highest recognition awarded by the state and places RBHS among the top-performing schools in Illinois. A few highlights from this year’s report: • 95.9% Four-Year Graduation Rate: RBHS exceeds the Illinois state average of 89.8%. • Top 8% in Composite Proficiency: RBHS ranks among the top 8% of schools based on student proficiency in English language arts (ELA), mathematics and science, as measured by the ACT. • 82.05% Consistent Attendance: More than 82% of students attended school for more than 90% of the school year, exceeding the Illinois state average of 76.5%. This achievement would not be possible without the hard work and involvement of our students, faculty, staff, Board of Education, families, and communities we serve. In AP Business with Personal Finance, students brought their entrepreneurial ideas to life! 💡 Students turned their business concepts into 2-minute pitches, presenting to classmates and a panel of guest judges. They shared who their business would serve, what sets it apart and how it would make money, then received feedback through “glow-and-grow” reaction cards. Through this activity, students are building public speaking, persuasive communication and entrepreneurial thinking skills. #RB208Pride 🐾

We had a great turnout at our FAFSA Completion workshop! Thank you to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) representatives, Josue Ponce and Brianna Rodriguez, for guiding our families through the FAFSA process. ISAC provides free, direct assistance to students and families in completing their financial aid applications. They also offer guidance on college and career planning, scholarships and grants, and other ways to make education after high school more affordable. 🎓 We are proud to share that the RB Class of 2026 achieved an 84% FAFSA completion rate, 9% above the state average and 1% higher than the previous year! As a reminder, the state of Illinois requires all seniors to either submit the FAFSA or complete a waiver before graduation. If you have questions about the financial aid process, please reach out to your counselor. #RB208Pride

ELL students spent time exploring the Riverside Firehouse and Riverside Public Library! At the firehouse, students learned how to navigate local emergency services and interviewed firefighters about their work. They then headed next door to the library, where they received their own library cards and explored the building’s digital resources, technology and community programs. Thank you to the Riverside FD and Riverside Public Library for welcoming our students and sharing your time and expertise with them! 🚒📚 #RB208Pride
