A World Without Polio Is a Promise Worth Keeping Together. @rotaryd9213 launched the Polio Giving Society, a new initiative mobilising Rotarians to strengthen Rotary’s efforts to @EndPolioNow through sustained giving to PolioPlus and protect children from the disease. The society is open to Rotarians who contribute USD 100 or more to PolioPlus, providing an opportunity for members to make a direct and sustained contribution towards Rotary’s global fight to end polio. The launch was hosted by @rcklalifestars in partnership with Wednesday clubs including @rckira1, @NakaseroCentral , @rcmahaba , @RCKSI, @rckampalanorth and @Rcgayaza. It was officiated by the @DGKenMugisha, Zonal Polio Chair and @dgrotaryd9213 reinforcing the importance of sustained Rotary engagement in the fight against polio. Through the Polio Giving Society, Rotary D9213 is encouraging members and supporters to make continued contributions towards polio eradication efforts. The initiative recognises that while significant progress has been made, continued commitment and resources remain essential to protecting children and achieving a polio-free world. Every contribution strengthens the fight. Every generation deserves a world without polio. @Rotary has made a promise to future generations: a world without polio. Crazy ideas do not always have to be complicated. Sometimes, they begin with a simple question. how do we take care closer to the people who need it? For my 25th Vist i was at @RCKSI Sometimes, the distance between a person and the care they need is not a road. It might be water. I saw that question turned into action. Their US$20,000 commitment to the Rotary Floating Clinic will help carry healthcare across the water, reaching communities too often left behind. This is a step towards carrying healthcare across the water and closer to communities that can easily be left behind. This is what happens when a big idea meets a willing heart.
