people were really pissed about this but, as much as i miss club penguin and i miss old roblox, i know that if you had me play them right now exactly as they were i would be like "damn this isn't as cool as i remember it being" because i'm just nostalgic for them
call me crazy but maybe old tf2 wasn't a complete amazing perfect golden age where nothing bad happened and maybe you're just nostalgic for when you were 13 and it was fresh in your mind

i am obviously a modern player. but still tf2 was way more fun when i was 13 in 2020 and new to the game even if it still sucked. because it's just more fun when you're 13 and bad
