The Ukraine Independence Day Event has been extended through September 5, 2026 at 10:00 UTC. The extension gives participants additional time to open new staking positions, strengthen their ranking positions, and compete for both daily and final event rewards. As announced on August 21, Sl8 has also updated its staking reward mechanism to a more conventional APY-style model with automatic weekly compounding. Previously, staking rewards were distributed separately. Under the updated model, rewards are added to the staking position each week and begin generating additional rewards themselves. The principal and accumulated rewards are paid together at the end of the selected staking term. The promotional annual rates remain unchanged: • 30 days: 28% • 90 days: 38% • 180 days: 50% •360 days: 62% Because rewards now compound weekly, the effective return can be higher. For example, a $1,000 stake at a 62% annual rate for 360 days previously generated approximately $612 in rewards. With weekly compounding, the same position can generate approximately $837 in rewards. The event also continues to feature two separate reward opportunities. Daily Top 35 participants can receive tokenized collectible gold and silver coins issued by the National Bank of Ukraine. Participants also continue competing in the overall Top 100 leaderboard for additional CST rewards linked to Cassator Corp. One staking position can therefore provide three separate benefits: staking yield with weekly compounding, eligibility for daily rewards, and participation in the final Top 100 ranking. The event is now active through September 5, 2026 at 10:00 UTC.
