RLP — Week One Update
RLP is one week old, and in that week we shipped the first lending protocol on RobinHood. We gave out 1.7 ETH in loans across 55 users, and added collateral support for Robinhood, Solana, and Base.
Now we're taking it up a notch. Here's what's coming next and what each piece actually means:
1. Cross-Chain Collateral (Stock Tokens + RWAs)
Today your collateral has to live on the chain you're borrowing from. Cross-chain collateral removes that wall. You'll be able to deposit an asset on one chain and borrow against it on another, without manually bridging first.
The bigger unlock is *what* counts as collateral. Beyond crypto, we're opening up tokenized stocks (Robinhood stock tokens) and other real-world assets tokenized equities, treasuries, and similar RWAs. So someone holding a tokenized stock position can borrow stablecoins or ETH against it while keeping their exposure. It turns idle stock and RWA positions into productive collateral instead of dead weight.
2. AI Agent Lending (automated strategies)
Most people don't want to babysit a lending position watching health factors, topping up collateral, or hunting the best rate. AI Agent Lending hands that to an autonomous agent.
You set the intent ("keep me safe from liquidation," "maximize yield on this collateral," "auto-repay when rates spike"), and the agent executes: rebalancing collateral, adjusting borrow size, adding margin before a liquidation triggers, or rotating into better positions. It's strategy automation on top of the protocol, so the average user gets pro-level position management without doing the work manually.
3. Native Integration with Robinhood Wallet & Stock Tokens
Right now, using RLP is a separate step from where the assets live. Native integration collapses that. Robinhood Wallet users will be able to reach RLP directly, and their stock tokens plug in as first-class collateral without wrapping or bridging.
The goal is that borrowing against your holdings feels like a built-in feature of the wallet, not a separate protocol you have to find and connect to. Fewer clicks, fewer bridges, less friction between "I hold this" and "I'm borrowing against it."
4. Mobile App
A dedicated RLP mobile app. Full lending and borrowing open a position, monitor health factor, repay, manage collateral, and get alerts from your phone. This is about meeting users where they already are and making the protocol usable without a desktop, which matters a lot for reach in emerging markets.
