“Water is love, and my people are plants dying of thirst.” Tsai Ming-liang’s The Wayward Cloud (2005) features his longtime muse Lee Kang-sheng in a parched Taipei where watermelon is literally cheaper than water—leading to one of the most unhinged porn shoots ever filmed. Still can’t decide if that melon is high-camp absurdism or the saddest metaphor he ever came up with.

two Romans plan a Milan jewelry job. Then Bellucci walks in and the jewelry becomes a supporting character. Shot on a real store on Monte Napoleone. Who actually watched this for the robbery?

Jenny Runacre as Miss Brunner, mid-scene, basically chewing through the entire cast. Moorcock famously despised Fuest’s script. Halfway through filming, the cast genuinely couldn’t tell if it was meant to be a comedy, so they finally cornered Fuest to ask. He told them yes, and from that point on everyone started playing for laughs. Runacre, of course, didn't need the note. The Final Programme (1973). Still not sure if she's the new messiah or if she just casually outacted the entire ending.
