This young lady @RileyLaing29 holds a special place in my heart. When she first came to me less than a year ago, she was struggling to figure out where she belonged. But one thing was obvious from day one she absolutely loves this game, and you could see the desire and determination to get better. I took her and her family out to the @ROIFASTPITCH Development Farm to work with Coach Brad alongside @GabriyellaK so she could experience what true development looks like. She caught the bug immediately. She just returned from spending an entire week at the Farm, training alongside some of the very best Midwest talent in the country. Over the last two weeks, she and her family have had to make some big girl decisions, and she has now joined Coach Brad’s 16U team. This young lady has dreams, and she refuses to let anyone sell those dreams short especially with all the conmen and empty promises that have become so prevalent in travel sports. Proud of you, young lady. Keep believing, keep working, and keep surrounding yourself with people who truly care about your development. You’re just starting to grow.

I was first flown out to Lincoln, Nebraska by Jason Cline of the Nebraska Firecrackers back in 2020 (I don't remember the exact year). Then in 2021, Jason flew me back out again, but this time he told me we were making a trip over to Buckner, Missouri to meet Brad Kessler at @ROIFASTPITCH and spend time working inside his facility. On the drive over, Jason couldn't stop talking about Brad, his daughter @GabriyellaK and how special both of them were. Gabs was only around 9 years old at the time. Being a retired police officer, I've learned to read people pretty quickly. It didn't take long for me to realize this man and his daughter were different. The way Brad sees the game and teaches it from infield, catching, pitching, and hitting is unlike anything I'd ever experienced. His entire approach is built around developing better movers and better athletes, not just teaching drills. Over the last five years, Brad has become a very close friend, and I've learned an incredible amount from him, especially on the movement side of athletic development. He's one of the brightest baseball and softball minds I've ever been around. @UnityCoachJosh Softball has already established itself as one of the premier travel organizations in the country because they truly value long-term player development. Bringing Brad Kessler and R.O.I. Fastpitch into the Unity family is a perfect fit. They're not just adding another coach they're adding one of the best developers of athletes I've ever had the privilege to work alongside. Congratulations to Brad, R.O.I.
