Ballots using the 2022 lines are already printed and mailed.
Absentee voting is underway.
Military and overseas ballots are out. Switching now to the Trump map, they wrote, would usher in electoral chaos.
So November holds for Democrats.
That is the same map the Missouri Supreme Court put back after it ruled the new lines never became law without a voter referendum.
Where were the judges then?
Primaries already ran on the 2025 map. Candidates already won on those lines. Then state court, Kavanaugh, a federal judge, the Eighth Circuit, and SCOTUS again.
Midterms. House control. Mid-decade redistricting. Purcell. All of it in unfolding in one state.
President Trump and the White House was right that this court fight would not stay quiet.
What nobody can call it is a finished election calendar.
If a map is illegal, why not say so before people vote?
If a referendum is required, put it on the ballot.
Do not run two House maps in one cycle and 39 days before the midterms call it settled.
