The Race Track
A lot of discourse over the end of last week about not being able to take Kaulig Racing CEO Chris Rice at his word while doing interviews and being asked about Brad Keslowski and Dodge. The simple truth is you can’t take him at his word. He’s lost all right to it frankly. Numerous misleading interviews and straight out lying. We spoke with a few people within the industry last week who blatantly said “you can’t trust what he tells you” Now in Chris’s defence I think there are times where he can simply not tell you the things you want to know. We simply don’t think that’s an option at times. On Dodge we still haven’t been told it’s not happening so until we are told that by a trustworthy source of information we assume it is. On Keslowski… we simply have no idea and saying anything otherwise would be lying. #NASCAR #Dodge #Ram

It’s quite simple. @C_Rice1 had several opportunities this morning to just say Dodge isn’t coming in 2027. He never once said that. He used a quote that could be taken either way. Than refused to shed any light on 2027. We have nothing but the upmost respect for Chris Rice. His personal health journey was eye opening and inspirational to us. However when it comes to being truthful on the radio it’s not one of Chris’s strongest suits and in some cases he probably couldn’t say anything. * He said they were not the Ram team. * He said Haley was unlikely to return. * He said Sadler would not be in a Ram. * He said Tony wouldn’t be doing a second race. * He said they wouldn’t be getting Spire truck equipment There are other examples as well. Maybe Keslowski doesn’t end up at Kaulig (in some capacity) but Kaulig and Stellantis should want him there. Saying you haven’t thought about it at all is not a great look. Do we know if Keslowski is coming? Truthfully we have no idea. The only way he shouldn’t be coming is if he doesn’t want to. Do we know if Dodge is coming in 27? We don’t know for sure. We could be wrong… but we have been told Dodge is likely returning in 2027 and the Ty Dillon situation is linked to that situation(ECR). #NASCAR #Dodge #Ram

Alright let’s provide some context on @C_Rice1’s Sirius XM radio hit this morning with @PPistone and @TheMikeBagley our name was brought up a few times which we will address here. Chris Rice on Brad Keslowski possibly being Kaulig bound and if they’ve had conversations with Brad about joining the Kaulig Dodge cup effort possibly whenever that will be. Chris Rice: “no I was telling someone I don’t know how we become the talk whenever someone is available and hey I have to state something. Hey Rammin Is Racing if you guys are listening to this right now. We’ve had AJ for 8.5 years. Let’s think about it whenever someone moves from another team it’s like they are going to Kaulig Racing. I appreciate you putting us in the conversation but why us. I had a meeting with Brad K for something completely non driving about something he’s on a committee for and he wanted my opinion. So I had a meeting with him in his motorhome. I didn’t think anything about it. I walked out of there and I waved at the reporters. Then the news came out and I was like here we go. I’ve not had any conversations with Keslowski about driving a Dodge even if Dodge comes back. We are super late your not hearing me talk about it much no more so that should tell you what’s happening. No we have not had any convo’s with Brad. We’ve had AJ for 8 plus years.” Pistone: “Does that mean the door is closed? Now that he’s a free agent and has the Dodge connection? Chris: “I don’t know what Brad’s plans are I haven’t even reached out to him. It’s not crossed Matt Kaulig or my mind at all. We have a plan of what we are going to do in 2027. It’s already done. First and foremost we gotta get Dodge back in the sport. They keep saying Dodge is coming back. Maybe they know something I don’t know. Bagley: “Well you just said the 2027 is done. What is the plan?” Chris: “I’m heading to Vegas. I’m weekend to weekend dude. You know me. I don’t tell anyone nothing I just keep you dangling like a little carrot. Pistone: “Than I’ll just ask you is Ty Dillon going to get a bite of that carrot or not? Chris “You know Ty is here in 26 and we’ve been in conversations and still are and we love Ty. We wish that we could run better but in the near we should be able to talk about things that we are doing. Ty is with us in 26. Bagley “Your creating a lot of heartburn for Rammin Is Racing” ——————————- Our take 1. We NEVER reported Brad K was going to Kaulig. We were as stunned as everyone else when Brad left RFK. We said it should be a no brainer move if Brad was interested. Although we will say Chris saying him and Matt haven’t even thought about Brad (if he’s telling the truth) should be concerning to Kaulig fans. 2. Chris saying “we are very late and you haven’t heard me talk about it much should tell you what’s happening” he’s wanting people to think Dodge isn’t happening by that quote but unfortunately that quote can be taken the complete opposite way. Chris said 27 plans are set than completely dodged the question. He was non committal about Ty returning. 3. Let’s remember on Mike and Pete’s show Chris “squashed” being the Ram team. He poured a lot of cold water on the possibly of Justin Haley returning and said that Tony was not doing another race. He has a history of being on with them & the opposite thing of what he says happens. Conclusion… take everything you hear from Chris with a grain of salt. That’s not a shot. Chris is the CEO. There’s only so much he can say. We have no idea if Brad is Kaulig bound but he should be! We continue to report we hear Dodge is coming back for 2027 because that’s what we have been told by the sources who have given us a good track record on Kaulig things. There’s always a chance it doesn’t happen. We felt like there was some shade thrown at us. We are easy to find if Pete, Mike or Chris ever want to chat. We don’t think today muted the Dodge rumors we think it increases it. On Brad K we have no idea. #NASCAR #Dodge #Ram
So @C_Rice1 just squashed the Keselowski to @KauligRacing Dodge speculation in 2027 on #TMDNASCAR @SiriusXMNASCAR

We are live tonight at 10PM with the podcast. Is there space for Brad Keslowski to end up with Dodge and Kaulig? Or is it too late in the game? Speaking of too late in the game we still don’t have an official announcement about a Dodge return to the NASCAR Cup Series but can you read in between the lines of the reporting about Brad’s situation on how the Dodge situation is likely to play out for 2027? #NASCAR #Dodge #Ram

Let’s provide some context to this…. From the Jordan Bianchi interview * Brad didn’t want to run a third car without a charter * RFK going to Dodge wasn’t realistic due to contracts. There was interest from some in RFK of going to Dodge but it wasn’t going to happen * Bianchi doesn’t know if Brad will land a cup ride. Potential for a truck ride * Brad is down the road talking about a ride for next year * Mentions JHN as a possibility for RFK One of the reasons we think people like Bob and Jordan don’t mention the 10 car as a possibility for Brad is we heard that deal for Ty was all but done. It’s really quite simple… if Stellantis wants to bring Brad in they will find a way to do it. #NASCAR #Dodge #Ram
-Bianchi says the Kroger deal wasn’t the main thing, it was just one of many examples of ownership not being on the same page with everything. -Brad as far as he knows doesn’t have anything set in stone but he’s definitely “down the road” in heavy talks with teams -John Hunter Nemechek is discussed. He has funding which could offset the cost of not having the third charter, and teams do seem to believe in his talent -each side (Brad, Fenway, Roush) just had different views on the way to move forward. -Not too much on Dodge rumors, doesn’t really think there’s much there due to contracts and Ford’s engine shop

Bob pouring some cold water on it but I don’t know. I think one of the reasons is AJ is locked in and Ty sounded locked in a few weeks ago and Dodge may need ECR in year one. If Stellantis wants Keslowski you make it happen. Even if you foot the bill for a third unchartered car.
That was much of the speculation this weekend that Brad Keselowski could end up at Kaulig/Dodge. While anything could happen, especially with these developments, I am not expecting that is the plan at the moment.

I think that’s the common thought going around right now. Not sure how it all fits together but you may see Kaulig run a uncharted car if necessary
Only thing I can think… What if he joins Kaulig and Dodge????

Basically exactly what we just said. Can you get him in the 10 car? Is the deal for the 10 locked. We heard it was far down the road but not locked. If ECR is providing the engines can you do it without employing Dillon. Can you run a unchartered third entry? Long, long history of the Keslowski’s with Dodge. Waiting on Jordan Bianchi’s update. We still believe Dodge is coming in 2027 for better or worse. Stellantis loves names. Can something happen quickly with Keslowski? Everything else has been rushed. Why not rush this? We shall see. #NASCAR #Dodge #Ram
Brad is the big name Dodge needs for re-entering the NASCAR Cup Series. Go get him.

Today’s Brad Keslowski news is definitely intriguing. There is a long history of the Keslowski’s with Dodge. There could be a domino to fall here but I’m not sure if or when that would happen. It’s very late in the process and we expect Dillon back in the 10 which could have some other things tied to it. I certainly wouldn’t sleep on some sort of Kaulig, Keslowski, Stellantis involvement. What that looks like? Who knows… #NASCAR #Ram #Dodge

.@RFKRacing says that Brad @Keselowski will depart the organization after 2026 but that it "remains committed to competing as a three-car NASCAR Cup Series organization in 2027 and will continue its active pursuit of a third charter," per official announcement.

Still a long way to go but AJ and the 16 team for Kaulig continue to march forward this race after struggling early. If these guys are with a fast start up Dodge team next season you will never convince me they will run 30th or worse every week next year. #NASCAR #Dodge
