Here we go again from Dick Bivins Stadium -- this time with a much more promising weather forecast ... knock on wood!
Monterey made the trip north to take on Caprock in a District 2-5A Division I opener between both teams as the next, more important phase of the season arrives for the the eight teams stretching from the Panhandle to the Big Country with four Hub City crews in the middle.
The Plainsmen (1-2) get Jonah Reed back at quarterback for the first time this season and I have a hunch that will create a difference. The Longhorns (1-2) are a bit of a mystery so far, but they have given Monterey plenty to handle the last few years.

The Plainsmen dominated those 12 minutes on all fronts and are on the move again near midfield. Took a little time for Jonah Reed and Co. to get comfortable with each other, but it sure seems like Monterey's offense is in a groove with a quarter to go.
