🌿 The Garden Chronicles:
The Garden Finds Its Rhythm
The garden feels different now. Less like a collection of little experiments, and more like a place that knows what it is becoming.
Ava is still inside, and for now, that is exactly where she belongs. The Arizona sun was too hard on her tender new leaves, so indoors she stays, protected from leaf burn and given room to recover. It is working. Her new shoots are stretching taller, and fresh leaves keep opening along them. The old damage is still part of her story, but it is no longer the part that catches your eye first. What you notice now is the green.
In the bathroom, the bell peppers are beginning to change too. Their leaves have grown broad and full, and tiny flower buds are starting to appear. That means they are moving into a new stage now, from simply growing to preparing to produce. Nearby, one brand-new baby pepper has just broken through the soil. This one already has a future waiting for it: once it is strong enough, it will leave the garden and go live with the neighbor.
Outside, the Drama Peppers are still living up to their name. They may have chosen their own unusual way of growing, but they are getting bigger and stronger all the same. No flowers yet, but they are clearly settling in and making progress.
Blossom, meanwhile, has apparently decided subtle growth is not for her. She has become enormous compared with where she started, adding at least a foot since spring and filling out into a tall, leafy little tree. She now stands over the smaller plants like she has always belonged there, looking less like a fragile young start and more like the beginning of something that intends to stay.
And then there is Pinky.
Pinky continues to do wonderfully, standing tall in her garden home and looking more established with every update. She has grown from the tiny plant we once watched so carefully into one of the unmistakable personalities of the garden.
That may be the biggest change of all.
Ava is healing. Blossom is reaching higher. The peppers are preparing to flower. A brand-new seedling has already been promised to someone else. Pinky is thriving.
The garden is no longer only about keeping things alive.
Now it is growing enough to share. 🌱🌶️🍎🥑🌿💚
