Haynes is in the 3rd yr of his 4-yr rookie deal. He’ll make $809K for the rest of 2026 & is under contract for 2027 at a salary of $1.586M.
Ravens have claimed G Christian Haynes, who was let go by the Seattle Seahawks after they traded for Quenton Nelson. Haynes, a Bowie, MD native, started five games for the Seahawks this year.

The Ravens currently have an open spot on the 53, but now have both Tampa and Randall as designated to return. So, be it this week or next, they'll likely need another spot on the 53. Ioane (hopefully not!) and Hawkins are possible IR candidates, I guess.
Adam Randall has been activated to return to practice.

OK, so the headline was not mine. 😆 Bottom line tho is that w/o the Colts eating a substantial amount of Nelson’s salary (we have no idea if they would have or not) - thus increasing their trade compensation ask - a trade was going to be pretty impossible from the BAL’s side.
The Ravens' 2027 Salary Cap situation is U-G-L-Y. Their 2026 one isn't a whole lot better and that's why trading for Quentin Nelson would have been much easier said than done. @RavensSalaryCap breaks down how they COULD create cap space for a deal. russellstreetreport.com/2026…

Nelson is due ~$10M for the balance of the yr. Ravens only have ~$1.2M in Cap space, so they would have had to restructure a deal or two or asked the Colts to eat some salary (which then have probably cost a 2nd). Seattle had enough Cap space to make the deal w/o Colts eating $.
Expecting a lot of people to say the Ravens should have been in on this, especially given the price. Already moved a 2 for Jurgens and Nelson is on an expiring deal, but he probably nets a comp pick if he walks in FA. Long story short: yeah, I would've done this one.

This opens Tampa's 21-day practice window. He can be added to the 53 at any time. If he is not added to the 53 w/i the 21 days, he would revert to IR for the remainder of the season. This is the 4th of 8 IR return designations for the Ravens (Kone/Randall/Lane/Tampa).
T.J. Tampa has been cleared to return to practice.

As expected after being released yesterday, WR Chris Moore has been re-signed to the PS. The Ravens now have a full PS, but do have 1 remaining spot open on the 53-man roster.

Gotta say, I reeeally wanted McDaniel as OC. And I was reeeally wrong. 🫣
To give you an idea of how bad Mike McDaniel sucks, the Cardinals have given up at least 31 points to 4 of 5 opponents this season. The exception was the Chargers, who scored 14 in LA.

I had never seen this Will Ferrell story about Mike Ditka's hip popping out during 'Kicking and Screaming.' Just popped it back in, took some advil, and went right back to filming. True legend. One of my favorite movies growing up and it still holds up easily. RIP Mike Ditka
