Over the last few years a massive portion of Auburn fans have become perfectly OK with how bad we are. People are coming on this app attacking me and others for the paper bag trend and calling it stupid, but in 2012 when we had a one off 3–9 season, wearing paper bags into the stadium during season that year wasn’t stupid then. But putting paper bags on your profile picture after 6 straight years of being horrible to oppose the current athletics, Director and the powers at be behind the scenes at Auburn the very people that put us in the position that we are in today is stupid? That shows what has happened to a good portion of the Auburn fanbase throughout this 6 year period of being bad. A good bit of you have become content and have compketely submitted to being bad and the thought of permanently being bad doesn’t even phase you, you just brush it off and say “oh well we have to give them time” Well newsflash for you. The time is up. The time is now if things do not change ASAP. We may never see Auburn football be good ever again. We are falling behind in every single facet of college football the longer we go without being successful. One more thing before I end this insanely long post. To the Auburn fans that I have been addressing in this post, I’m noticing a theme with almost all of you, you will come into my replies on and other people’s replies that have paper bags on their profile picture on your high horse and call us fake fans and try to argue that you’re a “better” fan than myself and the others as if there is some hierarchy to the Auburn fan base and as if all of us don’t support the same Auburn team that’s trotting out on the field on Saturdays right now Let me ask you this. How is wanting Auburn to be good making me and others fake fans. If anything, the fans that don’t want Auburn to be good or don’t care about how bad we have been and have just submitted and have given in to it are the ones that need to get questioned. by doing that you have shown that the best interest in Auburn is not in your train of thought. The fans like myself that are holding the athletics department and the higher-ups at Auburn accountable for what they’ve done over these last 6 years are just the superbly passionate fans, the fans that want to see Auburn succeed as much as possible. that doesn’t make us fake fans if anything that makes us real. And it just shows how much we care. Real friends are gonna hold their friends accountable for their actions, but back them up, no matter what. As a real fan, I’m going to hold the powers that be at Auburn accountable for what they have done to this illustrious prestigious football program over the last six years, but I will still support Auburn no matter what best believe when we go to Athens in a week and a half to play Georgia I will be screaming screw Georgia and War Damn Eagle till I run out of breath. But at the same time, I will still be frustrated with the people in Charge at Auburn because they need to be held accountable for what they have done to this program.
