A defendant was arraigned on an Aggravated Vehicular Homicide indictment for allegedly driving while impaired by drugs and crashing into three construction workers in Nesconset, killing one.

Brian Blackford admitted to robbing two Flagstar Banks in December 2025, stealing approx. $5,300. He was arrested with cocaine, stolen cash and a paper note stating, “give me $10,000 cash no funny business.” Faces 5.5 to 11 years in prison.
Our children deserve better than NY’s flawed 2019 bail reforms. Right now, prosecutors can’t seek bail – even when defendants target children with drugs and send them to the hospital. I joined lawmakers in support of @SenDeanMurray’s legislation to fix this broken system.
