The reasons I’ve read from (hopefully just some) Israelis explaining why they wouldn’t vote for BiBi feel like an intelligence test they’ve failed. They’re simply looking for a scapegoat to blame for everything while completely ignoring the security implications. Instead, they want to elect an Obama 2.0 (Eisenkot) and put the entire country at risk. It’s hard to imagine greater naivety. I thought we would have learned something after October 7. The fact that people are disappointed that BiBi hasn’t achieved more in three years is absurd. They’re completely ignoring all the positive things he has accomplished. And then there are domestic issues, like his coalition with the Haredim and so on. These are things that can be debated later, but they shouldn’t be the main priority right now. BiBi isn’t responsible for antisemitism around the world. I just hope enough Israelis understand that. Good luck, BiBi joon!
