Perhaps we can make this photo go viral again. This is Officer Chris Amoroso of the NYNJ Port Authority Police. This photo is from September 11, 2001, with the towers behind him. After saving this pregnant woman Chris decided to go back in for his 5th time. Despite having a wife and baby at home, despite being only 29 years old, Chris and 59 other Police Officers and 343 Firefighters never made it back out. You can curse us out, spit, defund and disrespect us, but when you call we will be there. Thats what makes us different. Im not looking for responses especially political ones. Just remember Chris and share his story. No sports number on his chest, no large contract no anthem to kneel to, just a real hero. #NeverForget

I lost my Dad on 9/11. I don’t get a lot of reach on here. But I just wanted to share a picture. He was 39. I thought he was old. I’m now in my mid 30s and I still feel like a kid. He was a great trader. He loved markets. He loved to find a stock no one was talking about. The first trade I ever placed was on his work computer, where he let me click the button to buy AMAT. I loved going to the office with him. It was electric. He was the best dad. We spent hours out in the street after dinner where he’d throw “pop flys” for me to catch. Eye on the ball. He loved watching Sponge Bob and eating cereal, wrestling with us in the living room. He just loved being around his kids so much, and we knew it. I’m so grateful I got a dad like that. Love you, Pops.

This might be one of the craziest healthcare fraud stories ever told on CNBC. Dr. Oz was explaining how deeply fraud has become embedded in the healthcare system when he recalled a bust in Philadelphia. The suspect was being arrested for drug possession and sales, but before the police could cuff him, he had to log out of his day job... DR. OZ: “Some of the things these charlatans do is, they’re shockingly effective at being grifters…” “I was just doing a bust in Philadelphia and a guy was getting arrested and they’re about to cuff him, and he said, before you cuff me, I got to log out of my day job, which is being a home care attendant.” “And the cop said, what are you talking about? I’m arresting you for narcotics possession and sales.” “And he says, yeah, I got that as a side gig. But my real money is like all the all the drug dealers became home care providers and he logged out on his phone.” “He was still making money. Yesterday, West Virginia put out a report on how data centers are affecting the state. How? They're making it rich. Data centers are allowing the state to cut income taxes, fund schools, rebuild sewers and water treatment facilities, curb electrical costs, and generate jobs!

The Space Launch System costs $4.1 billion per launch. One launch. NASA's own inspector general confirmed that number. Boeing builds the core stage. Northrop Grumman builds the solid rocket boosters. Aerojet Rocketdyne supplies the engines. Every one of those contracts flows to congressional districts where senators sit on the appropriations committees that fund NASA. Coincidence? Congress mandated the SLS in 2010 because the cancellation of the Constellation program threatened to idle the same workforce and facilities that had built the Space Shuttle. Senators Richard Shelby and Bill Nelson wrote the requirement directly into the authorization bill. They protected Alabama and Florida jobs. The politics drove the rocket, not engineering logic. SpaceX's Falcon Heavy lifts comparable payload for roughly $90 million. The SLS costs forty-five times more per flight. That gap destroys you as a taxpayer; you fund the difference without consent and without choice. No competitive bid. No market test. Boeing received cost-plus contracts, meaning every overrun simply became next year's invoice to the Treasury. Ludwig von Mises identified the central problem: when bureaucracies spend other people's money on other people's projects, waste is the predictable outcome, not the aberration. Congress spent $23 billion developing the SLS before its first launch in November 2022. It launched twice total by mid-2026, with the third mission schedule slipping repeatedly. The SLS is a constituency management program wearing a rocket as a costume.

Every pension system a government controls becomes a government slush fund. This is the historical record, not cynicism. Argentina's government nationalized $30 billion in private pension assets in 2008, converting workers' individual accounts into state-controlled funds. The official rationale was protection from market volatility. The actual result was that the Kirchner administration gained a captive pool of capital to finance deficit spending. Your retirement savings, transformed into political currency. Hungary pulled the same move in 2010, effectively confiscating $14 billion from private pension accounts under Viktor Orbán. Poland followed by seizing roughly half of private pension fund assets in 2013 to reduce its reported public debt. These are the predictable endpoint of any arrangement where the state holds custodial authority over your savings, not fringe cases. The United States did it more slowly. Congress raided Social Security's trust fund beginning in the 1960s, replacing actual assets with government IOUs and spending the cash on discretionary programs. The system now carries $23 trillion in unfunded liabilities. Workers who paid into it for forty years will receive whatever Congress decides to give them: a grant subject to political revision, not enforceable property. Private ownership means enforceable claim. A pension fund you own contractually cannot be redirected to cover a budget shortfall in Buenos Aires or Budapest. The moment government intermediates between your labor and your retirement capital, political priorities start competing with your financial security. They generally win. Socialists will do anything within their power to get their dirty paws on your hard-earned money. We should do everything we can to stop them.
