When you’re buying a $20 Chipotle burrito, the profit is roughly $2.50. The additional $17.50 is to cover labor expense, rent, overhead, packaging and food cost. It’s incredibly expensive to operate a business in the post-Biden COVID era economy. When Biden’s policies kicked in back in 2021, my business costs increased roughly 30-40% across the board. When we paired that with a 30% decline in sales due to price increase + supply constrains, an enjoyable and fulfilling profitable business became a nightmare to get to break even. Under Trump45 economic conditions, we experienced double digit growth year over year for 5 consecutive years. What started as a $1.5mil annual revenue business from inception in 2016 quickly became a $12.5mil annual revenue business by 2020. Then 2021 and onwards saw year over year declines up until the point we were effectively forced to sell our remaining assets to a larger competitor. If we let the Democratic Socialists take over, we’ll see this cycle on steroids across all industries. But business owners won’t be selling to larger competitors, they’ll be surrendering it to the government for State Control. I created dozens of high paying jobs and provided employees and their families with 100% company paid private health insurance for 10 years. But, I’m sure Bernie Sanders and his crew of people can do better … right?

The entire case needs to be thrown out and @LodgePokerATX needs to file a “Takings” lawsuit against the State of Texas. The probable cause was based on an “anonymous tip” coupled with undercover work by agents who clearly don’t understand how poker clubs are operated. They claim no one told them they had to have a membership and there was no signage stating it either. The UC’s (1) did purchase memberships and (2) don’t understand that when a player sits at a table - they must swipe a players card which links to a tablet on each table that shows how much time each player has. If a player doesn’t have a membership or purchased time - the dealer won’t let them play. When time runs low, the player is alerted to buy more time or to leave. The bank account records show no proof of illicit activity - a club the size of the Lodge operating 24/7 is easily clearing $75,000 - $100,000 per day in gross revenue for membership and time. They have 68 nine-seat tables charging $12/hr per player per hour. On a busy day, they can be making $7,500/hr in revenue. Evidence of $1.35 million in bank transfers is simply a business transferring money in the ordinary course of daily business. There is nothing at all that hints at illicit activity - certainly not money laundering. Even if this lead to charges and an indictment - the bank records should be thrown out of evidence based on the probable cause to subpoena them being improper. The Lodge should file a lawsuit and Doug should personally sue for damages to his reputation. If they don’t want poker clubs, they need to go to Austin and get the legislatures to change the laws. They have no right to manipulate the law to try to chase poker clubs out of Texas.

The “untrained ICE” narrative is false. ICE Agents receive 4-6 months of training before seeing field work. Upwards of 85% of ICE Agents have prior law enforcement or military experience. 6-8 weeks training paths exist for those with extensive experience. In States that support ICE, we don’t hear about any of these issues. We only see them in States that don’t offer Police assistance - where elected officials gaslight residents into actively interfering with ICE. ICE Agents have to worry about being targeting by Cartels and having their families tortured by Isis - they shouldn’t have to worry about liberal white Americans breaking bad on them. Local police should be doing crowd control and sealing perimeters - that isn’t the job of ICE. ICE has a 99.9% success rate - only 150 lawful American citizens have been detained for any period of time out of hundreds of thousands of encounters. It’s effectively the most well trained and successful element of law enforcement in the country. Trump inherited an absolute mess of an immigration system. He has sealed the border and aggressively removed criminals that have committed unconscionable crimes. ICE deserves protection, funding and appreciation.

Studies show 6% - 8% of the U.S. Population will be convicted of a felony. When you let 15 million illegal immigrants come in 4 years, you're really importing between 950k an 1.2 million felons. Those are all unforced errors. We need Trump, Homan and ICE to get them all out. The time for tolerance has long passed.
